Prices, quotes and payment

Is the price per person or per boat?

The price is per boat, not per person, for a group of up to 8 guests. It includes VAT and is set according to the date, the duration and the route.

The quote is free, and you know the price before you confirm.

Where can I rent a boat with a skipper in Cannes?

At the Old Port of Cannes (Quai Saint-Pierre): from May 11, 2027, Sillages Riviera offers a new Axopar 38 Cross Top with a professional skipper for up to 8 guests, for a full day, a half day, a sunset cruise or a transfer. The boat is never rented without its skipper, so you need no boating license; see boat rental with skipper in Cannes.

How do I book a private boat with Sillages Riviera?

You book by requesting a quote, which is free: through the quote request form, by email at contact@sillagesriviera.com or by phone at +33 6 07 43 10 88. In season, Sillages Riviera replies the same day; there is no online booking on this website.

What should I include in a quote request?

Give the date, the number of guests, the trip or route, the departure point and the occasion. For a transfer, add the number of bags and, from the airport, your flight times.

How do I pay?

Our reply to your request contains the quote and a secure online payment link, for the deposit or the full amount. No payment is taken on this website itself.

What is the cancellation policy?

Cancellation, rescheduling and refunds follow our terms and conditions of sale, which you can read before you confirm anything.

Do you work with hotels and concierges?

Yes. Sillages Riviera works with hotels, concierges, villa agencies, event agencies and yacht captains, for whom the boat also runs a tender service. How it works is explained on the page for concierges, hotels and agencies.

The boat and life on board

Is the boat shared with other passengers?

No. Sillages Riviera is a private boat: only your group is on board, with the skipper. The boat takes up to 8 guests.

How many people fit on the boat?

The boat takes up to 8 guests, plus the skipper. The new Axopar 38 Cross Top is 12 m (39 ft) long; its layout is described on the Axopar 38 Cross Top page.

Is there a restroom (toilet) on board?

Yes. The boat has a private restroom with an indoor hot and cold shower, and a second shower with hot and cold water at the back of the boat.

Is there shade on the boat?

Yes. A roof shades the helm, and the cabin has an indoor saloon with a table, out of the sun.

Can we swim from the boat?

Yes, at anchor only and when the skipper gives the go-ahead. The sides of the boat (bulwarks) then fold down into terraces at water level; masks, snorkels, fins and 2 paddleboards are on board, and the outdoor shower has hot water for a rinse.

Can you arrange drinks, lunch or flowers?

Yes, on request: drinks (champagne available), meals, appetizer platters, canapés, flowers or a photographer. You can pay for them directly on board, with no obligation to buy; the boat has a refrigerator, a wet bar and a Bluetooth sound system.

Is the boat suitable for guests with reduced mobility?

Boarding is difficult but not impossible for a guest with reduced mobility: it depends on the person's build and how many people can help. The restroom is not wheelchair accessible. Contact us before you book: if the boat is not suitable, we will point you to a better option.

Skipper, safety and weather

Do I need a boating license to hire a boat with skipper?

No. A qualified professional skipper (captain) is always at the helm while the boat is moving. Sillages Riviera never hands over the boat without its skipper.

For a full day on the water, see boat rental with skipper in Cannes.

Who will be on board with us?

Your skipper alone, or your skipper with a hostess or deckhand, depending on the number of guests, the length of the trip and your wishes. Either way, only your group is on board.

Are children welcome on board?

Yes. Life jackets for every age are on board, including SOLAS-certified infant life jackets, as required by regulations. For family trips, we avoid sailing after dark whenever possible; tell us the children's ages in your quote request.

What happens if the weather is bad?

Your skipper checks the sea before every departure and has the final say on board. Only swell, wind or confirmed rain can cancel a trip, never clouds alone: passenger safety and comfort come first, and rescheduling or refunds follow our terms and conditions of sale.

Which languages does the skipper speak?

Every skipper speaks at least English and French. Tell us your group's language in your quote request.

Departures, routes and season

Where do we board the boat in Cannes?

At Quai Saint-Pierre in the Old Port of Cannes (Vieux-Port); another harbor between Porquerolles and Menton is possible at a supplement. During the Cannes Yachting Festival and the Régates Royales, Quai Saint-Pierre is closed and your quote names another quay.

Can you pick us up at Nice airport?

Yes, from the Saint-Laurent-du-Var pontoon, right next to Nice Côte d'Azur Airport, to Cannes, Monaco and Saint-Tropez. The meeting point and timing are set with your quote, and if your flight is late, the boat waits 30 minutes at no extra charge.

All the details are on the page Nice airport boat transfer.

How long does it take by boat from Cannes?

At the boat's cruising speed of 30 knots (about 55 km/h), the Lérins Islands are a few minutes from the Old Port of Cannes, Monaco about 50 minutes away and Saint-Tropez about 1 hour. Times depend on sea conditions.

Each route has its own page: Cannes to St Tropez by private boat, Cannes to Monaco by private boat and a private boat tour to the Lérins Islands.

How much luggage can we bring?

Tell us how many bags you have: a per-bag supplement applies, up to about ten bags, confirmed in your quote.

When does the season start?

The first season starts on May 11, 2027, the opening day of the Cannes Film Festival, and runs through October. From 2028, the season runs from April through October; outside the season, ask us.

Can we book the boat for the Cannes Film Festival or the Monaco Grand Prix?

Yes for the 2027 Cannes Film Festival: the first trip is on May 11, the opening day. The Monaco Grand Prix is served tailor-made only, and harbor access during these events depends on each organizer's rules.

See private boats for Cannes and Monaco events.
