The Cannes Yachting Festival, often called the Cannes boat show, runs from Tuesday, September 7 to Sunday, September 12, 2027, in two harbors: the Old Port (Vieux-Port) and Port Canto. It opens at 10 am every day, stays open until 10 pm on Friday, and free sea shuttles link the two sites. Where is the Cannes boat show? The Old Port and Port Canto

The show is split between two harbors about 2 km apart, linked by La Croisette.

The Old Port, beside the Palais des Festivals

The Old Port (Vieux-Port) lies at the foot of Le Suquet, beside the Palais des Festivals, in the center of Cannes. Visitors enter at the Palais des Festivals or at Pantiero, opposite city hall.

Port Canto: sailing, powerboats, brokers and toys

Port Canto, at the eastern end of La Croisette, has two entrances named after its areas: one for the sailing area and the powerboat marina, the other for the brokers and water toys area.

How do you get between the Old Port and Port Canto?

Free sea shuttles, from RIBs (rigid inflatable boats) to larger covered boats, run between the two harbors every 15 minutes from 10 am, for visitors already inside the show. On foot, allow about 2 km along La Croisette.

How do you get to the Cannes boat show from Nice airport?

Nice Côte d'Azur Airport is the closest international airport. You can reach the show by bus, train, taxi, helicopter or private boat.

By bus or train

Bus 81 (Line 81 of the regional Zou! network) runs by motorway from Terminal 2 to Cannes train station in about 55 minutes, from 7:35 am to 9:55 pm (timetable valid from June 2, 2026).

By train, walk about 7 minutes from Terminal 1 to Nice Saint-Augustin station, on the coastal line that serves Cannes. Cannes station is a short walk from the Old Port.

By taxi or helicopter

The organizer advises booking a taxi in advance and puts the drive to the venues at about 30 minutes; the airport also publishes an indicative fixed taxi fare to Cannes on its taxi page. Helicopter transfers from Nice run during the show as well.

By private boat

From the Saint-Laurent-du-Var pontoon, near the airport, Sillages Riviera reaches Cannes in about 25 minutes at sea: about 13 nautical miles (25 km, 15 miles), depending on sea conditions. Where you step ashore during the show depends on the organizer's and harbors' access rules, and your quote confirms it; see Nice airport boat transfers.

How can you host clients at sea during the show?

Show week means back-to-back meetings. A private boat with skipper, for up to 8 guests, gives you a quiet place on the water between them. Sillages Riviera doesn't sell boats; it takes your guests out on one.

Where do you board during the Cannes Yachting Festival?

Quai Saint-Pierre, our usual departure point in the Old Port, is not accessible during the show. Boarding takes place at another quay or harbor named in your quote, and any drop-off at Port Canto or the Old Port remains subject to the organizer's and the harbor's rules. Rules for other events are on our page on private boats for events in Cannes and Monaco.

A tender for yachts at anchor

For yacht captains and agencies, the boat works as a tender: your skipper carries guests between the shore and a yacht anchored in the Bay of Cannes, on your timetable. See our partners page.

An evening at sea after the show

The show closes at 7 pm on most days, so an evening at sea with clients can follow your last meeting. In September, sunset cruises typically run from 7 to 9 pm; during show week, your quote sets the time and the boarding quay. See a private sunset cruise; drinks and appetizer platters are available on request and paid on board.

From Cannes to the Monaco Yacht Show

Ten days after the show closes, the Monaco Yacht Show runs from September 22 to 25, 2027, at Port Hercule. From Cannes, Monaco is about 50 minutes away by sea; see Cannes to Monaco by private boat.

What should you know before visiting the 2027 show?

Check which days you can visit

In 2025 and 2026, professional e-tickets were valid Tuesday to Friday and visitor e-tickets for the weekend. Check the 2027 rules before you buy.

Travel light

Only hand luggage up to A3 size (about 40 × 30 cm) is allowed inside, so leave suitcases at your hotel.

Use the late Friday

Friday is the late day, with the show open until 10 pm, and re-entry is allowed on the same day.

Questions

Is the Cannes Yachting Festival open to the public?

Yes, with a ticket. In recent editions, the organizer sold professional e-tickets for Tuesday to Friday and visitor e-tickets for the weekend, and children up to 10 entered free; check the 2027 rules on the official website.

Can you arrive at the Cannes boat show by private boat?

It is possible on request, depending on the access rules: a drop-off at Port Canto or the Old Port remains subject to the organizer's and the harbor's rules. Quai Saint-Pierre is closed during the show, so the quote from Sillages Riviera confirms where you board and where you step ashore.

How long does it take from Nice airport to the Cannes boat show?

About 25 minutes at sea by private boat from the Saint-Laurent-du-Var pontoon, plus the short drive from the terminal. By road, the organizer puts the taxi ride at about 30 minutes, and the Line 81 bus takes about 55 minutes to Cannes station.

Is the Cannes boat show the same as the Monaco Yacht Show?

No. The Cannes Yachting Festival runs from September 7 to 12, 2027, in Cannes; the Monaco Yacht Show, sometimes called the Monaco boat show, follows from September 22 to 25, 2027, at Port Hercule in Monaco.
